"Fly" by Dead Man Walking
Why don’t You really know me
I’ve grown so far from You
Now all I want is to touch You
To spread my wings and fly
What in this world can please You
Who in this world can seek You
What can I do to please You
Where can I look to seek You

Fly so high that I might touch the sky
I will die to myself so He’ll shine
Crucified on that same rugged cross
Fly so high that I might touch the sky

Why don’t they really know You
They’ve grown so far from You
They don’t know what it’s like to touch You
To spread their wings and fly
Why does this world not please You
Why does this world not seek You
What can I do to please You
Where can I look to seek You

Audience of One

"You are a chosen generation," the bible says, "His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into His marvelous light..." (1 Peter 2:9).

In the Old Testament, King David became a great man, a man after God's own heart. His driving passion was to praise GOD. He praised God when he was in trouble, when he was safe, whether he was sad or happy, when he saw God working, even when he had no idea what God was doing-he offered up his praise. He takes us to new heights in the book of Psalms and teaches us what it means to praise our Father in Heaven.

Many of the Psalms describe worship in the congregation of the saints, singing, dancing, shouting, drums, horns, cymbals, and harps.

Perhaps the most powerful Psalms show David's praise to God in a very personal way. "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God I have put my trust..." (Psalms 56:3-4).

No matter what the setting, whether David was in his room alone or dancing for all he was worth in front of the whole city, it was all done for an audience of ONE!!!
